Welcome / Opening Prayer

Affirmation of Faith

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;*
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic** church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

1st Hymn: O God, Our Help in Ages Past UMH 117 Vses. 1, 2, 3, 6

O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come,
our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home!

Under the shadow of thy throne, still may we dwell secure;
sufficient is thine arm alone, and our defense is sure.

Before the hills in order stood, or earth received her frame,
from everlasting thou art God, to endless years the same.

O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come;
be Thou our guide while life shall last, and our eternal home.

Pastoral Prayer

Lord's Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer

 OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN,

HALLOWED BE THY NAME.

THY KINGDOM COME.

THY WILL BE DONE

ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD,

AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES,

AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US,

AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION,

BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM,

AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY,

FOR EVER AND EVER

AMEN

2nd Hymn: If Thou But Suffer God to Guide Thess, UMH 142, vses. 1, 2,3

If Thou but suffer God to guide thee, and hope in God through all thy ways,
God will give strength whate'er betide thee, and bear thee through the evil days.
Who trusts in God's unchanging love, builds on the rock that naught can move.

Only be still, and wait God's leisure in cheerful hope, with heart content
to take whate'er thy Maker's pleasure and all discerning love hath sent;
we know our inmost wants are known, for we are called to be God's own.

Sing, pray, and keepgo d's ways unswerving; so do thine own part faithfully,
and trust God's word; though undeserving, thou yet shalt find itg true for thee.
God never yet forsook at need the soul that trusted God indeed.
