We all have seen crazy job descriptions in our lifetimes. Perhaps we are used to seeing them more when we had newspapers, but I guarantee you that they are readily available online. I saw one that asked for “15 energetic people” to replace “15 lazy people.” What happened in that office? Some offered “hard hours, poor pay and survival is not guaranteed” Signed me up! Yet, Jesus was not afraid to set a high bar to separate the crowd from the disciples. The crowd was happy to follow Jesus. Jesus asked nothing from the crowd, but to be a disciple was a deeper commitment that included making Jesus the most important priority in our lives. Are you willing?
