From PROGRAM to PROCESS

September 18, 2016

2 Kings 5

Although we will strive to offer a structured discipleship path, our goal is to help people take the next step in their spiritual journey. We are most concerned with individuals working through their discipleship process. Process in discipleship is not neat and predictable all the time. As much as we believe in programs, programs serve the process, not the other way around. Programs should come and go as they meet the needs of the discipleship process. Therefore we are willing to take risks throughout the discipleship process. We are willing take a risk in a program for the sake of process.

What does the fact that Naaman was willing to listen to a kidnapped young girl serving his wife tell you about him? How important is the perception of need in the discipleship process?

How would you have reacted if you were asked to be healed from leprosy and someone told you to wash seven times in a dirty river?

Read the words of Naaman in verse 15. What changed? What makes him say this?

What process is God asking you to submit to, that you are unwilling to do so at this time?
