From LINEAR to CYCLICAL

September 4, 2016
1 Kings 19:1-9

Although we do start at point A and end at point B in discipleship, we never do it in a straight line. We cycle through different stages of our development before we learn what God wants us to learn as areas of our lives are transformed. Often we do this multiple times. Therefore we will offer multiple entry points to enter discipleship and understand that people often stop, start and even reverse as part of their discipleship journey.

Why do you think that Elijah ran away from Jezebel after soundly defeating her?
Read verses 4-5. Have you ever felt this way? Why?

If you were God and you find Elijah lying down, afraid and wanting to die after such a great victory, what you would have told Elijah?

Have you found yourself hiding in a cave despite having a great God? Explain.
