A New Perfect

How can get rid of the tyranny of perfection is the Bible itself is a calling us to be perfect? Simply stated, it is talking about two different things. The tyranny of perfection is about the shame of never living up to expectations on our strength in our current reality, but Christ call to perfection depends on Grace with the power of the Holy Spirit in the Kingdom of God. Matthew only presents us with the call to perfection after a complete presentation of the Kingdom blueprint. As we live into the new reality of the Kingdom, we are transform to the very nature that God intended all along.

¿Cómo puede uno deshacerse de la tiranía de la perfección si la Biblia misma tiene un llamamiento a ser perfectos? En palabras simples, se trata de dos cosas diferentes. La tiranía de la perfección se trata de la vergüenza de nunca llenar las expectativas con nuestra propia fuerza en nuestra realidad actual, pero llamado de Cristo a la perfección depende de la gracia con el poder del Espíritu Santo en el Reino de Dios. Mateo sólo nos presenta con la llamada a la perfección después de una presentación completa del Reino. Most mothers feel that they are failing as mothers. They feel that they are not living up to society expectations. They wish that they had more patience, were better organized and more confident as mothers. They questioned themselves and spent time going over their reactions to the situations that life throws at them. And yet, the perfection that we so desperately seek at times it is just a myth no more real than the Avengers, a jack-o-lope or the chupacabra. No matter how real it may seem, perfection is a myth outside of Christ.

When is the last time that you felt that you were failing short of expectations? Explain.

Why do we still fall in the trap of perfection if we know that no one is perfect?

Why do we struggle so much to accept grace in our lives?

What would change immediately in your life if you truly accepted that we are only redeem by the grace that we received through Christ?

La mayoría de las madres sienten que están fallando como madres. Sienten que no están a la altura de las expectativas de la sociedad. Desean tener más paciencia, estar mejor organizados y tener más confianza como madres. Se cuestionaron a sí mismos y dedicaron tiempo a revisar sus reacciones a las situaciones que la vida les lanza.
